Citywide Banks is pleased to announce the seven Colorado charities nominated by employees to participate in its next Charity Hand-Up Contest being held on Facebook from March 1-14, 2013. The Denver/Boulder community is invited to participate in this online vote to determine how $7,500 is split among the nominated causes. The top prize, a $5,000 cash donation, will be given to the charity with the most votes on Facebook. The public online event aims to raise awareness for five Colorado charities and encourage businesses to look at local charities for their corporate giving and employee volunteering programs. Citywide Banks employees have nominated Father Woody’s Haven of Hope, MaxFund No-Kill Animal Shelter, Mi Casa Resource Center, Special Olympics Colorado, and Urban Peak for this quarter’s contest. Through a 14-day vote on the bank’s Facebook page, the Denver community is invited to help select the winning charity.
