CHARITY HAND-UP CONTEST Begins July 7th – Seven Colorado Causes Nominated by Citywide Banks Employees

Citywide Banks will host another Charity Hand-Up Contest from July 7-21, 2014, to raise awareness for seven Colorado charities. The community is invited to participate by voting for a charity nominee on Facebook and sharing their support through social media. The charity that receives the most votes on Facebook will receive a $5,000 cash donation from Citywide Banks. An additional $2,500 in donations will be split between the other nominees based on final vote standings. A bonus $500 donation will go to the charity that increases their Facebook followers the most. The public can also enter to win several prizes by participating. Bow Wow Buddies Foundation earned a first place finish in this month’s Citywide Banks Charity Hand-Up Contest and will receive a $5,000 donation from the bank. The 14-day contest, which aimed to raise awareness for seven Colorado nonprofits nominated by Citywide Banks employees, was promoted through the bank’s branches and social media sites. Now through June 14, 2013, Citywide Banks invites the Denver/Boulder community to enter-to-win prizes and raise awareness for seven Colorado causes in its Charity Hand-Up Contest from June 1-14, 2013. Based on voting results on its Facebook page and in its branches, Citywide Banks will split $7,500 in donations between the nominated charities. The charity that receives the most votes will receive a $5,000 cash donation from Citywide Banks. An additional $2,500 in donations will be split between the other nominees based on final vote standings. The public can enter win a $100 dinner for two at one of Denver’s hottest restaurants, an executive golfer bundle, Starbucks gift cards, or another prize. The featured charities, nominated by Citywide Banks employees, are Alternatives Pregnancy Center, American Cancer Society – Denver, Bow Wow Buddies Foundation, Colorado Beautillion, Kempe Foundation, Mount Saint Vincent, and Veteran’s Passport to Hope.
