CHARITY HAND-UP CONTEST Begins July 7th – Seven Colorado Causes Nominated by Citywide Banks Employees

Citywide Banks will host another Charity Hand-Up Contest from July 7-21, 2014, to raise awareness for seven Colorado charities. The community is invited to participate by voting for a charity nominee on Facebook and sharing their support through social media. The charity that receives the most votes on Facebook will receive a $5,000 cash donation from Citywide Banks. An additional $2,500 in donations will be split between the other nominees based on final vote standings. A bonus $500 donation will go to the charity that increases their Facebook followers the most. The public can also enter to win several prizes by participating. Citywide Banks Helping Promote Acts of Kindness through Spread the Warmth Holiday Campaign

Citywide Banks, in association with the Colorado nonprofit Spread the Warmth(TM), is working to bring warmth to the hearts and hands of the community this holiday season. Each Citywide employee has received a gift package with a pair of special gloves to give to someone – anyone – who needs them. Whether it’s a homeless person, an elderly neighbor, or a stranger working out in the cold, the mission is to reach out and make a heart-felt, personal gesture with the gloves. Then, each employee is asked to share their glove story on www.Spread-the-Warmth.org to help inspire others. A $5 donation to Urban Peak will be made for every glove story submitted online. […]

Citywide Banks Continues Support of Mental Health First Aid Program

Citywide Banks recently participated in a Mental Health Summit at Swedish Medical Center that was hosted by the South Metro Health Alliance (SMHA) and Arapahoe/Douglas Mental Health Network (ADMHN). During the Summit, a variety of mental health professionals and advocates provided an overview of the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) program. MHFA is a groundbreaking public education program that helps the public identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Stephan Ghadaifchian, Citywide Banks senior vice president and board member of the Aurora Mental Health Center spoke to the attendees about the banks’ passionate support of the mental health community, as well as stressed the importance of the MHFA course.
