Citywide Banks Named One of Colorado’s Top Corporate Philanthropists by Denver Business Journal


The Denver Business Journal released its 2015 list of the top 25 corporate contributors to Colorado-based charitable causes. Citywide Banks again made the top 20, coming in at 20 on the list that included many larger banks and corporations.  The list was based on contributions during 2014. During the year, Citywide Banks contributed over $476,000 to more than 150 nonprofits in Boulder, Denver, & the Front Range (up from $444,000 in 2013). This figure does not include hundreds of hours that employees spent volunteering on boards and committees, performing pro bono financial services, and participating in fundraising campaigns. A more complete overview of Citywide Banks community outreach activities can be viewed at

Here are a few highlights from the bank’s outreach activities during the current year (2015):

  • Continued prominent support of mental health counseling, Mental Health First Aid, and other programs through sponsorships and volunteering with Mental Health America of Colorado, Aurora Mental Health Center, Mental Health Center of Denver, Arapahoe Douglas Mental Health Network, Rocky Mountain Crisis Partners, Carson Spencer Foundation, and others
  • Helped raise over $18,000 for Denver Health Foundation‘s Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Health Endowment through bank event and matching campaign
  • Raised awareness and contributed $16,000 to 14 Colorado charities through bank’s Charity Hand-Up Contests on social media
  • Supported Gabby Krause Foundation‘s Bags of Fun program as an annual partner of events and deliveries to kids in Colorado hospitals
  • Helped raise $40,000 for Denver youth programs through lead sponsorship of Colorado Golf Foundation‘s 2015 annual golf tournament
  • Supported Latino Community Foundation of Colorado‘s Change for Change initiative as presenting sponsor helping organization’s goal of raising more than $250,000 for Colorado charities
