Citywide Banks Named One of Colorado’s Top Corporate Philanthropists by Denver Business Journal

The Denver Business Journal released its 2015 list of top 25 corporate contributors to Colorado-based charitable causes. Citywide Banks again made the top 20, coming in at 20 on the list that included many larger banks and corporations. The list was based on contributions during 2014. During the year, Citywide Banks contributed over $476,000 to more than 150 nonprofits in Boulder, Denver, & the Front Range (up from $444,000 in 2013). This figure does not include hundreds of hours that employees spent volunteering on boards and committees, performing pro bono financial services, and participating in fundraising campaigns. Asian Pacific Development Center Surges on Final Weekend to Win Citywide Banks Charity Hand-Up Contest

Asian Pacific Development Center (APDC), a nonprofit dedicated to helping international refugees integrate into the Denver community, edged out six other Colorado charities to rally the most votes in the Citywide Banks $8,000 Charity Hand-Up Contest. The 21-day Facebook contest raised awareness for seven Colorado nonprofits nominated by Citywide Banks employees. APDC will receive a $5,000 cash donation from the bank, while runner-up, Arvada Community Food Bank, will receive $1,000. An additional $1,500 in donations will be split among the other nominees based on final vote standings. APDC will also receive an additional $500 donation for growing its Facebook network the most during the contest. […]

Citywide Banks Hosts 49th Annual Golf Classic and Contributes Over $6,700 for Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health

Citywide Banks hosted its annual golf tournament and dinner reception on Thursday, August 27th, at Inverness Golf Club. More than 100 of the bank’s clients and partners helped mark the 49th consecutive year for the event, one of Colorado’s longest running private golf tournaments. During this year’s event, the bank showcased the ongoing work being done through local nonprofit, Denver Health Foundation (DHF). The bank contributed $5,000 on behalf of the tournament’s golfers, and is continuing to match public donations to DHF through September 15, 2015. During the event, golfers kicked in $1,765 for mulligan tickets and direct donations to the nonprofit. The total $6,765 in donations will go toward DHF’s Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health endowment.
